It's nice to laugh how we look before...

Because we are different now, we know how to dress up, we know how to fix ourselves, we were influenced by the people we spend our time with.

Isn't it nice to know that we also have the confidence to show how we look when we were younger? That you even tell yourself how ugly you were and laugh with the photograph you're holding. It's fine with you now, because you have changed. You look better than before. It's just so nice to remember memories from the past.

@ St. Michael's Retreat House

At last, I'm home!

I had an overnight stay at Saint Michael's for the seniors' retreat.

I won't make this too vulgar because the speaker said so.

The retreat house is big, clean and peaceful. I was one of the students to be assigned at the clergy room.
No gadgets were allowed so I didn't bring my phone.

We started yesterday at 10 in the morning. Our sessions and other activities were fun. We talked a lot about our parents, family and God. Few about choosing the right friends. I was very emotional inside that session room. I had two handkerchiefs, both soaked in wet. I can't help but to cry. Tears kept falling. They were not tears of sadness, but of happiness. I know for so long that I am very lucky in life. I tried to stop the tears but didn't worked out, i'm just really such a crybaby.

We ended our activity last  night around 10:30. My roommates and I didn't sleep as soon as we entered the clergy room. We had our midnight snack, talked more, and I took a bath even I'm shivering in cold. I was only able to sleep for 4 hours or less.

By 6:15 in the morning, today, the mass had started and i am blessed to be chosen as the 2nd reader and felt more better because I was able to give service this Sunday even if  I'm not with my family together at the church.

We've shared so many stories, listened to their problems, prayed for each other and so much more. I just have to leave them there.

For the second time of my life, after 4 years, I have revived my spiritual and mental health. My heart has recovered from all the pain in the past and was healed by God. I feel so refreshing, accomplished, complete and thankful!

I got home safe and sound around 11:30 in the morning bringing the joy from the retreat house to my own home.

God is so good! :)

Full of Inspiration and Motivation

Good evening to you my friend.

I am just done with my Valedictory speech that I am talking about earlier @ LJ where you can read here.
And before I go to bed, let me tell you more about this very hour.

These past days, many people are making me feel great and fulfilling. Must be the way how I emit my feelings to others. And I am thankful to those people, and to God of course, He is always included in all the gratitudes that I am giving.

As I checked my twitter account, I was full of accomplishments for the compliments that I have read from people who follow me and at the same time I follow them back too.

Here's why: (Click the photo to enlarge)

(There are things that are easy to explain by showing than by saying)

.. and I never thought that not only few enjoy reading my blog, but there are many. And because of those people I just have a new strength to do more greater things in life.

I know that you know who you people are touching my life filling it with glory, love and happiness.

Thank you :)

I am thankful now that...

I saw my name listed as one of the honor students AGAIN in our year level.

Hooray to me! I'm so happy!

I also thank God for this wonderful blessing, for guiding me, giving me strength and the knowledge to do my best to be part of this achievement.

That's not the only reason why I am so glad today. At  first quarter I made a good start, I was placed as 5th. Not bad. But when 2nd Quarter came, my rank went down, I was then placed 8th. Now, this 3rd quarter of  the school year I can't believe I came up to 4th. It's a miracle!

Well, I've always wanted this. I am so blessed, so, so blessed. I don't know what else to say. I just want to share with you my happiness, my bliss!

I made once more my parents proud! I will continue this until the very END.

So help me, God.

Exhausting Wednesday!

This morning we sell last minute raffle tickets to the elementary students so it would be sold out.
As we reached their rooms, many grade 4 students were already waiting for us to buy those tickets.

While collecting their payments and waiting for their stubs I asked Janred to bring out his digital camera and take pictures of what I and the other officers are doing.

The pupils saw the gadget, and because they are KIDS,  they started to compress and  pushed themselves just to be included in the picture. It was like a stampede, but they were all happy and smiling so widely. We all had a wonderful group picture together, and because of them the tickets were sold out.

We were able to earn 1,500.00 pesos today, plus the money we earned last Monday and Tuesday. amazing, huh? But we were so haggard and sweating out going to different rooms just to sell those tickets, not to mention that the sun is up so hot.

After achieving making the raffle tickets sold out, we started fixing our booth, ours is Marriage booth.

In order to wed couples, other students will list their friends' names and who they will be wed with. Then the Marchall, us, have to find, chase and catch them in order to bring them to our booth. But that was never been easy. They will hurt you, bite you, make themselves escape in order to be free from us and won't let themselves get married to the one they are partnered with, especially when they hate that person.

It was so exhausting! My black shoes were also destroyed because of the never ending chase with those crazy students. Phew!

At least it was enjoying!

Oh, and, this was the last they of the booth fair and will be the last time for us seniors to have this kind of event. No more like this in college.

I'm going to miss this fun and adventure!

Must be the wackiest day of his life

Hello there!

Starting yesterday we had our booth fair in our school as one of the activities  for the celebration of  the school's anniversary. ALLS is turning 19!

and our section was assigned for the MARRIAGE BOOTH.

I didn't have any photos from yesterday's fun and excitement, only today. And I was so glad I have captured happy faces. Just like the grade 4 student below. I forgot his name. I only knew him as "Trudis". Anyway, I took pictures with him because he's so cute, bubbly and FUNNY.

I asked him if he could take a picture with me. At first he was shy, then he finally agreed. He can't have a formal picture because he's laughing (: He still looks adorable though.

I guess this kid is a joker. Making wacky shots (:

Finally, we had a proper picture together. I love this kid!

Halloween is getting to her

I was at the mall waiting for my dad to come back when he went at the ATM area. A girl, named Caroline (Cuz I heard her mama called her), with her mother, stopped near where I was standing and asked, out of the blue, "Mama, is it true that people turn into skeletons after they're dead?"

Her mother confirmed that it takes a long time, but yes eventually all that is left of any formerly living creature is bones.

"So when you get really, really old and then you die, you turn into a skeleton."

The mother tried to figure out how to best address this without going into more detail about cremation or embalming, when Caroline interrupted.

"And then you get spooOOOOOOooooOOOoky!"

Haha. I smiled at them after hearing their conversation

Define 'Happines'

I am going through some of the hardest days in my life. Days that I didn't see come. Days I didn't plan for. Days I haven't thought of alternatives or ways to overcome them. They say that something good must come after a lot of bad, and I await passionately and anxiously and also willingly with a smile to see what is next.

I am excited about what is next.

I know what is happiness.

I know where is happiness.

I have found happiness.

Know-It-Some

I've been accused of being an arrogant know-it-all. While I'm not sure actually knowing it all is a bad thing, I'm pretty sure that being an arrogant know-it-all isn't meant as a compliment. Of course, to be fair, I don't know where the accusation comes from. You see, there are a lot of things I don't understand.

I don't understand the correlation of predestination and free will. I affirm both and perhaps a lot more of it seems clear to me than to a lot of others I know, but I can't really put it all together in a nice, neat package.

I don't understand Quantum Physics. Not even a little.

I don't understand the Trinity. Oh, I believe it and I can explain a lot about it, but ... it's God and I'm not.

The other day I was waiting with other pedestrians at a street corner waiting for the light to change. A woman waiting with us became very agitated. A motorist across the way had part of his car in the crosswalk while he waited behind the bus that had stopped in front of him. She started to yell at him. "Don't you know that it's illegal to stop your car in the crosswalk??!! What's wrong with you??!!" And then she crossed ... against the light. I don't understand people like that.

Some of what I don't get isn't nearly as serious. I work in a "weapons-free zone". So why can't I get free weapons?

I bought a bottle of water from a vending machine and followed the instructions, "Get change here." So why am I still the same?

Why are some people lack toast and tolerant?

What exactly is a pullet surprise and why are people happy to get them?

Oh, the list goes on and on. I'd have to say that I'm not much more than a know-it-some. I think the better people get to know me, the more likely they'll think I'm a know-very-little.
