Procrastinating

I still have many things to accomplish this week, and here are the ff:

-finish the audio visual presentation for my high school batch (to be passed on Tuesday)
- review for Psychology 101 midterm exam (this coming Friday)
- make a reflection paper for H-101 (to be passed on Tuesday)
- prepare an informative speech in E-102 (to present on February)

But instead of doing them today, what I did was this...

...smiling in front of the webcam and being vain the whole afternoon.

At least I've finished my laundry this morning. I have uniforms and training attires to wear this coming school days, so as my younger siblings.

Oh well, I guess that's the only good thing I did today, this Sunday. Still, I feel like I've wasted a lot of time.

Blasting Monday!

How are you?

How was your day? Was it fun? was it bad? Hmmm... ?

If you'll ask me, mine was very exploratory! Here's what I remember today:

I came to school early this morning to attend a general assembly held by the communication department. When the special guests appeared, a lot of ladies where screaming and cheering on top of their voices. I would like to do the same, but I hesitated. They were cute, yes! But they're humans too, right? so I just smiled at them on their whole performance. It was also my classmate's birthday and she received a kiss from one of the guests who were singing on stage. How lucky she was! I wanted to receive a kiss too! but not from him, but from the guy I always wish was mine!

The Lamar brothers were the special guests
This cute Micah Lamar kissed the birthday celebrant!

After the event, we went to BON CHON, a restaurant just around Katipunan, to celebrate her birthday! She treated us for lunch and I could say that she was overjoyed!
Hannah, the birthday celebrant, on my left side.
Oh, and they were the ones who decided to wear black and white clothes.
When it was already afternoon, I returned to school to attend my training. We did 10 laps of jogging, heavy conditioning, stretching, gymnastics, and we did different stunts for pyramid. I can now do different toss and turns as a flyer very well, and to tell you, I never been a flyer before. I'm just so happy being fit, productive, and staying in the squad wholeheartedly.

Lastly, after the training, I came home as soon as possible to finish all my assignments, to have my supper and to blog about this tonight!

Finally! I can now have  the sleep I was waiting for to happen.

Good night!

"Today I Don't Feel Like Doing Anything, I Just Wanna Lay In My Bed"

The moment my coach announced that we'll have no training tomorrow and this coming Monday in our pep squad I was so glad! I even wanted to shout on top of my voice "HOORAY!!!" but I couldn't because he might change his mind. So I just blushed in one corner. At least I am given a chance to sleep longer this weekend because I badly need it. Sleeping 4 hours every night really sucks! My eyes automatically close when I'm already in class, and I hate that feeling! Plus, I can do on the following days tons of my assignments that are to be submitted next week.

sigh.

I thank God for the good news, for my safe travel going to school and at home, for my health and for the abundant blessings I keep receiving from Him every day of my life!

Oh, it's 11:40 in the evening again. I should go to sleep now.

I'll talk (blog) more tomorrow for you.

P.S. I keep thinking about this guy before I go to sleep. I hope I dream of him tonight. He just doesn't know how I love him so much! I can't wait for the day I can hug him tightly.

Ok, I said too much. Good night, world!

Good night, world

Do I look fine?

I lack sleep because of tons of school works I finished last night and up to this time.

So, there, I'm taking a rest now. All of you take care okay?

Do you have a problem? I know you can solve it. Even I give my opinion on how to overcome it, it is still you who is going to decide for your own.

Good night.

I think I want to start again

I decided that it's about time I start doing the things I want to do and being who I always thought I would be.

Ever thought of that? Just being who you want to be? Just start.

That's what I'm going to try doing.

And I will accomplish it by doing the following things:

Eating less
studying more
Reading books I like
Finding my spirituality
Spending time with people I Love
Taking care of myself and others
Loving
Throwing away/getting rid of so much of the "stuff" I own
Redefining, and strengthening personal values

Ah midyear resolutions. They always seem to work out better for me than the January kind.

A miraculous Tuesday!

I usually set my alarm clock at 4:15 in the morning every Tuesday and Thursday. Since its Tuesday today, I should be awake at that time. I heard my phone alarmed, I already opened my eyes, but I decided to close them for a few minutes because I still feel so sleepy for I just slept at 12 midnight. As I opened my eyes again, I thought 5 or 10 minutes only passed, and then when I checked my phone it was already 5:30 am! I was like, "Oh my, Oh my!!! I'm going to be late. I should be at the terminal this hour!!!"

I hurried myself to take a shower and dressed quickly because I want to travel to school as soon as possible. I know that if I don't leave immediately I might caught by the traffic jams along the way. While traveling, I prayed hard to God to make a miracle today that there is a possibility for me to be there on time.

I arrived in school at 7:47am, and I was already 17mins late. Fortunately, the professor hasn’t checked the attendance yet, so when I was there already I was not marked late.

I felt a relief, and I thank God for this. He is so good!

P.S. This is the also the very first time that I have not eaten my breakfast in my college life. I just sipped an energy drink before I fully left the house.

Before I go to sleep,

I would like to thank my cousin, Jessica Erin, for making a background music for this blog. She's the person I can count on when it comes to html's.

Good night!

Untitled Tuesday

Sorry. I can’t think of a good title for this post. My brain is already drained from all the activities in school.

To start my story, we had our PE 101 class this morning. The topic was all about First Aid. The teacher asked us to share some incident of us getting injured. Since I never really had major injuries, I didn’t share anything to the class so I just listened to my fellow classmates who had. As I was paying attention, I couldn’t stand some of their stories because they were so disgusting! I felt like my stomach was twisting while hearing those sickening experiences they had. There was one student who shared to the class that her eyeball was scratched by someone who had a long nail and it was so excruciating! Another one said that she had an open wound and her muscle tissues were exposed! Those are just few from what I heard, and I can’t really stand those kinds of stories because I’m not used to.

I felt comforted when the period was over.

Our next subject was Algebra. It’s my favorite math! Last meeting, the professor gave us an assignment and I abruptly finished it when I arrived home, for I know very well how to solve the problem. But before we enter the class this morning, my friends asked me to help them finish their own assignments for they have no idea how to solve the givens. Instead of revealing my own work to them, I helped them by tutoring my classmates. I made sure that they comprehend what I was teaching splendidly so they won’t ask me again next time. And eventually, they knew how to answer the assignment. I felt so proud because most of them counted on me.

Also today, I have a runny nose. I always bring my own handkerchief with me everyday wherever I go. And I knew I won’t be having trouble searching for tissues to wipe my nose. It just so happen that I lost my handkerchief when I badly needed it and I don’t know what to do. The class is ongoing and I can’t excuse myself that’s why I have no choice but to sneeze it in my hand! Gross! But don’t worry I washed my hands as soon as the class was over. LOL! It was my first time in history that I lost my handkerchief. It was so depressing.

After the last class, I proceeded to where the PEP SQUAD held the meeting. It took an hour before we were dismissed. Then it was time to go home.

While walking with a friend going to the Jeepney terminal it suddenly rained so strong! Alas! Fortunately, I also bring a small umbrella with me everyday wherever I go. So we stopped in a corner to wait for the rain to be gone. While waiting, we saw a street vendor selling fish balls. We decided to buy some. It was a long time ago when I last bought some because I am taught by my parents not to buy that kind of food for health reasons. But it was really yummy to chew and eat it.

When the rain finally stopped, my friend and I proceeded walking. We suddenly felt thirsty along the way so we searched for another vendor who sells gulaman (a unique Filipino beverage).

Unfortunately, we couldn’t see any. Instead, we spotted another vendor who sells palitaw (a small, flat, sweet rice cake eaten in the Philippines. They are made from sticky rice, washed, soaked, and then ground. Scoops of the batter are dropped into boiling water where they float to the surface as flat discs - an indication that they're done. When served, the flat discs are dipped in grated coconut, and presented with a separate dip made of sugar and toasted sesame seeds.)

And finally, before we have our ride going home, we saw a small stall that sells gulaman. At last, we were rejuvenated from our dehydration!

It was 6pm when we reached the jeepney terminal. And because it was a rush hour we couldn’t find a jeepney with a right route going home. And when we found one, many other people needed it too, so we all hurried to step inside the vehicle for us to have a place to seat. And do you know what’s thrilling about that? We always experience stampede at the entrance of the jeepney because we all wanted to go home as soon as possible. My friend and I are always lucky because we are small and it is easy for us to push people and squeeze ourselves inside. And tadah! We have a place to seat!

It was a very fun day. My friend and I really enjoyed the simple lifestyle of a Filipino!

Phew, I still have classes tomorrow at 10:30am so I am greeting you all good night!
Muwah!

Officially back!

At last! I finally had the time to open my blog and post something new. It’s been 3 weeks (I guess?) that this was in silent. The last time I blogged here was when I received my certificate from a baking class and reminding you how many more days before my birthday.

4 days before my birthday, people inside the house were so busy preparing everything for the party, from the house, the foods, drinks and etc. It was even raining so hard that time and I was already feeling something not so good about it. We even received frequent brown- out due to the heavy rains pouring. When it was already the day of my birthday, I was expecting many visitors to come because many said they will attend my birthday party. Then, I was disappointed. Few only came because of the stupid weather! I knew this was happening! I was really annoyed because the people who I was expecting the most didn’t come. And honestly, I was so sad and told myself that it was the worst party ever! But good thing I looked at the bright side, Janred came, and he is one of the important people in my life, my girlfriends also remembered me, and so as the guy I’ve been crushing for a long time, eventually, I find calmness in my sorrowing heart.

After the birthday party and everything that happened, I cleaned the whole house again, washed piles of plates and arranged the furniture. Now it was the time to prepare everything for my new school.

Another disappointment came to my life when I wasn’t able to qualify to enroll in my dream school, ADMU, when I received an e-mail from their office. I started holding back tears because my cousin and my mom were around and I don’t want them to see me crying. What happened to my birthday and the news I received made me so down! A failure! I felt like my life was in ruin. I have no other choice but to enter MIRIAM COLLEGE, an exclusive school for girls. I never wanted to enroll there but I have no choice and the deadline of requirements needed was near. If I didn’t abruptly make a move, they might not accept me and not be able to enter any school at all. So, I guess, that is where I really belong. I have no other choice but to accept the outcome of my life.

After I successfully passed all the needed requirements, I was now enrolled in that school. I wasn’t feeling so happy at all. I started attending psychological exam and orientations from those said schedules. And you know what sucks? My dream school is just beside my present school and every time I’ll pass by I can feel that I am so hurt, I even question myself, “Am I really an imbecile?”

I’m trying to move on by searching things what my present school has that my dream school doesn’t have. But whatever I see around the campus, still ADMU is far better.
I guess I just started loving my present school when I listened to the last orientation that they held last June 7. It was convincing, and little, I’m starting to be proud that I am now a MARYKNOLLER. They even prepared different presentations from different clubs and organizations they have and they really amused me.

The following day, June 8, was my first day in school and my first time to be in college. I felt just fine traveling there and meeting my blockmates and making new set of friends. And until present I’m gaining more academically and socially.

I miss this

It's been a while not blogging here. And I can say that I miss this, you know, telling you how was my day.

Yesterday was my last day in baking class and I just received a certificate from that school. It was an achievement! I learned a lot from that class and I can apply those at home when visitors come or when we put up a business, obviously, it could be a bakery or a cafe. I know I lacked sleep from those times, but it all paid off. It's a wonderful experience. I met new friends and had the confidence to show them what I can do :)

If you want to see those photos from our baking class, you can always view my facebook account.

This is all for now. I really need to sleep longer. I feel so weak right now for having 4 hours of sleep for 5 consecutive days. It's all because of the travel and no break hours.

let me remind you that 4 days from now will be my birthday and I'm turning 17.

Good night!

Breadmaking

Last few days I lacked time for blogging. My mom, my cousin and I started attending classes for bread making. We start by 9 in the morning and end by 5 in the afternoon. At first, I thought it was simple. But when you're already there and doing lots of activities, by the time you come home, you'll really feel so exhausted. I even lacked time for sleep, and I don't know why. And it is also awkward that my own mom and cousin are my classmates in that class. We even compete when we're having a lecture and studying costing for breads. But in the end, it is really fun!

We still have two more classes on Friday and Saturday. I can't wait to receive my certificate!

Someday, I will learn how to play this instrument and not just pretend to the people that I can.

I just figured out why I am bored most of the time

It is not because I do nothing at home. It is because I do a lot of activities and chores at home but they only take a few minutes to finish them. Besides, doing them doesn’t need too much effort to get tired and need a time to rest. And when they are all done, there is nothing left for me to do.

Sometimes, you're just unaware that you've done a lot of things in a day. Good thing there is blogger and tumblr to make use of my time here on the internet when there is really nothing else physically to do at home.

Catching Up.. 2

Hello there! Finally I’m back after a week not posting anything new in this blog. I was lazy those times. Sorry about that :)

But today I have the guts to update you with my entire week! Let’s see if I can reminisce them all.

On Monday, I went to Miriam College to have an appointment with the nurse for a medical check-up. Other applicants were there too (part of the school’s requirement). It took long minutes before the assistant called our names, so I was bored to death! Good thing was someone started a conversation with me. She asked me if I can look after her belongings for a while because she needed to go to the comfort room. I smiled and said “sure, no problem.” Eventually, many of us started to make friends while seated in our own chairs asking what courses we are about to take, where do we live and what is our FACEBOOK account. That was a cool thing to do. So now I have seen my future school mates.

On Tuesday, Mom and I decided to start our jogging session every morning from 6 am to 7:30 am at the sports complex. While doing some laps I made a playlist with all Justin Bieber’s songs and listened to them until we finished. It’s good to sweat out! Refreshing!

On Wednesday, I was with my lil’ bro. After jogging we took pictures together showing on Facebook how tired we were from chasing each other! LOL. When I got home and surfing on the internet, I saw a competition on Photobucket about submitting a photo of converse shoes and the best photo will receive a gift certificate. I submit an entry since it’s easy. The result s will be declared on Friday. Not bad, uh?

On Thursday, my brother was taught by mom how to ride his bike with only two wheels. At first, he was having a hard time. He was even feeling scared and giving up, but soon he started to have his balance. When we came home, I just did my normal routine, doing my household chores, eat, sleep, internet, eat, then sleep.

On Friday, after my mom and I jogged and my brother to ride his bike, I quickly opened the internet to check the result of the contest on Photobucket. As I was there, I didn’t win the first place nor the next hundred place. But I was happy because there were 1,700++ who joined the competition and I wasn’t the last one! I was placed 155th. Not bad! I was already glad I made it that place, not to mention, I didn’t even edit my photo! Wow! I had a fun and I will do it again.

On Saturday, we went to Cavite to visit my aunt’s place and have an overnight stay. We didn’t do much but to eat a lot of Pasta, junk foods, fruits, chocolates, and many more. And it’s good to see my cousins and having a bonding with them.

On Sunday, It was Palm Sunday and the start of the holy week. We attended mass and bought palaspas for the priest to bless it, and will display in our house. When it was afternoon we all packed up our things and went home. Home at last! It’s good to be here! Finally I had my full rest.

Now it's Monday. I'm just at home having more rest :)

Reformation

Lately, I’ve been going to the wrong direction and thinking in a wrong way.  I lost focus of what I always love to do and that is---- to BLOG.  To make some clarifications I asked myself,

“What’s wrong, Erica? What makes you down? How will you be successful if you’re always like this? What are the possible ways to put you on full strength again? Where is the eagerness you used to put in yourself to reach that goal? You need to answer these questions right here, right now. Don’t waste time. Come on! You used to repeat the phrase make use of my time again and again in your mind. But what are you doing? You’re just sitting there and looking at nowhere. Isn’t this the right time to use it? ”.

Don’t get me wrong, but I really talk to myself often.

Remember my last post before this? You can read it back if you want so you can understand clearly what I am talking about.

If you just know, Blogging is a big deal for me, earlier as now I am practicing myself for bigger purposes. I am putting myself to the test, to ready myself to make my career successful in the future, and this is a perfect way to start. I always wanted to be a WRITER. I love writing; I always have abundant imaginations and can make them out of a story.

I often picture myself holding a book in front of the Medias throwing questions of how I made it, that the book I have created is now a bestselling not only in my continent, but also worldwide. That my name is very famous and is always seen in magazines and newspapers, and paparazzi are everywhere to snap photos of me for their own article, and they might also put it in their blogs too. And that I’m well- known by people just like how Ophra Winfrey is right now, and so as Bill Gates, and the others.

Doesn’t it feel good to be true? I want these things to happen, I really do.

But in every big achievement it is necessary to start at the small one, because there is a saying, “In every thousand miles we start with one step”.  But how will it be as big as my imagination to make it in reality if in small areas I am not making a move?  I should stop being happy-go-lucky and should set a goal.

Just like yesterday, I know there’s something nice to blog about a grandpa and my unusual feeling of what happened that the readers will find it touching, but I didn’t post it because I’m lazy and tired. I’m tired because I’ve been doing nothing the whole day.  See? This is not good. When I get a job I can’t be like this. Do you get what I mean?

If you’re telling me that maybe I’m getting the wrong choice of career, you’re wrong. This is what I love, being in the industry of authors, editors, writers, columnists, etc. This is really the profession I wanted to take. I’m just being TOO LAZY.

And I find my courage again when a friend of mine, Mr. John Marine, had an article about blogging stuff which I find it absolutely true. He inspires many people across the world including me. And his words are very powerful and meaningful that you will get up from where you are seated and start doing what you really love that is good for you and for your career. I appreciate everything he does for me all the time.
If you want to meet him, just visit his blog here.

And this time, I’ll make it sure that I’m heading the right direction to success with God’s guidance.

Thank God, exams are over!

Woohoo!

I have nothing to worry now. No classes, no quizzes, no projects, no school academic activities.
This is good!

All I have to do now is attend all the practices in school---- for the graduation!

At last. I can sleep longer now.

I thank God for all of these.

Amen.

1st day had just finished!

I just got home from school.

It's my last examination week and i just had the first day.

So far, so good. I thank God for this wonderful day! I am thanking him for many sure answers. He answered my prayers, to give me the guidance and strength and to remember all what I have learned from the past.

I just hope this will continue until the end. (:

not to mention that I even think of my crush while answering my exam sheet ( for inspiration of course. I know you have one too!)

LOTS OF LOVE,
Erica

Exhausting Wednesday!

This morning we sell last minute raffle tickets to the elementary students so it would be sold out.
As we reached their rooms, many grade 4 students were already waiting for us to buy those tickets.

While collecting their payments and waiting for their stubs I asked Janred to bring out his digital camera and take pictures of what I and the other officers are doing.

The pupils saw the gadget, and because they are KIDS,  they started to compress and  pushed themselves just to be included in the picture. It was like a stampede, but they were all happy and smiling so widely. We all had a wonderful group picture together, and because of them the tickets were sold out.

We were able to earn 1,500.00 pesos today, plus the money we earned last Monday and Tuesday. amazing, huh? But we were so haggard and sweating out going to different rooms just to sell those tickets, not to mention that the sun is up so hot.

After achieving making the raffle tickets sold out, we started fixing our booth, ours is Marriage booth.

In order to wed couples, other students will list their friends' names and who they will be wed with. Then the Marchall, us, have to find, chase and catch them in order to bring them to our booth. But that was never been easy. They will hurt you, bite you, make themselves escape in order to be free from us and won't let themselves get married to the one they are partnered with, especially when they hate that person.

It was so exhausting! My black shoes were also destroyed because of the never ending chase with those crazy students. Phew!

At least it was enjoying!

Oh, and, this was the last they of the booth fair and will be the last time for us seniors to have this kind of event. No more like this in college.

I'm going to miss this fun and adventure!

What's up, Doc?

Last Friday my dentist contacted me and told me to be in her clinic the following day.

I DID.

As I enter her clinic, she was attending a patient who was seated on the dental chair. There was also a patient before me waiting for her turn and her teeth has to be re sealant.

After SEVERAL minutes it was another patient's turn. The one who I am next with.

My dentist was not yet done sealing the patient's teeth. I was totally bored, so I gave up. I waited an hour and a half for nothing!

I have to go back home for I'm already hungry and I want to eat my lunch, and besides I have a rehearsal in school later that time. I still have to prepare the things needed to be brought there. What I did is I approached my dentist and asked if I can just go back tomorrow.

Tomorrow was today, Sunday.

Finally, I was the first patient who came to her clinic. As I was seated on the dental chair, I opened my mouth, she checked for a FEW seconds and said, "Your braces can now be removed. Let's reschedule when you want to take them off."

That's it?! That's the appointment all about?!
Of course I can't ask her to remove it that time because I didn't bring any money for the labor.
For all I know is she will do some adjustments and I don't have to pay any amount.
The only reaction I could give was to smile and said "okay". But that was totally not okay for me!

I waited longer than to be assisted! Shoot! If I only knew this was going to happen I should have asked her to assist me first before the patient before me!

This was not the only time I have encountered an experience like this with her. She's totally ridiculous. Doesn't she know about time management?

Ow, gawd! I was totally pissed off!

Night Rehearsal

The theme of this coming Foundation Day in our school is "Filled with gLee" the musical! All the students from kindergarten up to high school are required to join the field demonstration. Each year level will present a number. They will dance and sing some scenes from the gLee show.

In our batch, we are to perform Britney Spear's part as watched in season 2 of gLee. Our songs are; 'Baby one more time', 'I'm a slave for you', 'Me against the music'.

We had our dress rehearsal tonight. And here are some shots from our practice:

I'm the one on the left with white sneakers (:

All of us were exhausted. The rehearsal was a success, especially those elementary students. We all went home at 8pm.

I'll tell you more when I post photos from the main event. Our program will be held on February 12, 2011 @ 6pm.

Guitar

I'm going to miss this fun and adventure!

):

(:
