When you meet someone who gets your sense of humor no matter how stupid it may be

Exhausting Wednesday!

This morning we sell last minute raffle tickets to the elementary students so it would be sold out.
As we reached their rooms, many grade 4 students were already waiting for us to buy those tickets.

While collecting their payments and waiting for their stubs I asked Janred to bring out his digital camera and take pictures of what I and the other officers are doing.

The pupils saw the gadget, and because they are KIDS,  they started to compress and  pushed themselves just to be included in the picture. It was like a stampede, but they were all happy and smiling so widely. We all had a wonderful group picture together, and because of them the tickets were sold out.

We were able to earn 1,500.00 pesos today, plus the money we earned last Monday and Tuesday. amazing, huh? But we were so haggard and sweating out going to different rooms just to sell those tickets, not to mention that the sun is up so hot.

After achieving making the raffle tickets sold out, we started fixing our booth, ours is Marriage booth.

In order to wed couples, other students will list their friends' names and who they will be wed with. Then the Marchall, us, have to find, chase and catch them in order to bring them to our booth. But that was never been easy. They will hurt you, bite you, make themselves escape in order to be free from us and won't let themselves get married to the one they are partnered with, especially when they hate that person.

It was so exhausting! My black shoes were also destroyed because of the never ending chase with those crazy students. Phew!

At least it was enjoying!

Oh, and, this was the last they of the booth fair and will be the last time for us seniors to have this kind of event. No more like this in college.

I'm going to miss this fun and adventure!

Must be the wackiest day of his life

Hello there!

Starting yesterday we had our booth fair in our school as one of the activities  for the celebration of  the school's anniversary. ALLS is turning 19!

and our section was assigned for the MARRIAGE BOOTH.

I didn't have any photos from yesterday's fun and excitement, only today. And I was so glad I have captured happy faces. Just like the grade 4 student below. I forgot his name. I only knew him as "Trudis". Anyway, I took pictures with him because he's so cute, bubbly and FUNNY.

I asked him if he could take a picture with me. At first he was shy, then he finally agreed. He can't have a formal picture because he's laughing (: He still looks adorable though.

I guess this kid is a joker. Making wacky shots (:

Finally, we had a proper picture together. I love this kid!

"Call me after an hour"

Dela Vega: "Hello? may I speak to Erica?"

Me: "It's me. What's up?"

DV: "It's about our investigatory project"

Me: "Okay. What about it?"

I'll skip the part of what we have talked about. It's not important anyway.
So a few moments later ....

Me: (Mom calling me to have dinner from the background)
"I have to go now. Mom's calling me for dinner."

DV: "But we are not yet done"

Me: "CALL ME AFTER AN HOUR"

DV: "Okay."

after an hour passed ...

Dela Vega: "Hello? may I speak to Erica?"

My sister: "Oh, she's snoring already !"

hahaha. I feel so sorry for him. This is not the first time I asked him to call me back, but this always happens when he calls for the second time. :D

Don't mention my name, Ma'am

Yesterday, our Filipino teacher got mad with us. She stopped talking in front of the class to get our attention. And when our attention was on her, she said something that made me giggle, but I tried to force not to be noticed because I don't want her
TO MENTION MY NAME TOO!

Her sermon goes like this:
"Class, I am now annoyed with your noise. I can't tolerate this anymore! You are already grown ups so you should know how to respect the person who is talking in front. I JUST DON'T WANT TO MENTION YOUR NAMES SO YOU WON'T GET EMBARRASSED IN FRONT OF THE CLASS!...."

she paused.

"PAULINE, YSABEL and SARAH! You are very noisy! If you want, you can get out of my class ... Now!"

ohh-ouh!

What Sepak Takraw did to me

It was PE class. We went to our school's court to play any sports we wanted.

Mervin, Kent and I played Sepak Takraw.

I felt so arrogant because I'm good in playing that sport. I can serve, receive and do other techniques! I acted like a boy (since 5% of the ladies in school can only play that).

Suddenly ..................

The wooden ball hit my upper lip!

Ouch, it hurts! It was bleeding! It popped and hurts more than when I bit my lips before!

Luckily(gasp), It was only them two who saw me ------and those 60 junior students (starting to low voice and reddened)---- and those other students at the court and at the second floor!

Gosh! It was so embarrassing!

I will never play Sepak in public again!

Another lessoned learned :D

When I Start Blogging ...

Who am I?

Why am I here?

Why did I start to post random articles along this blog?

Did you even wonder-------WHY?

Yes?

No?

I better tell you.

I should have posted this before, and because I was new before and I don't know how to start things in here, Maybe it's better to start things right now.

I am JOANA ERICA DANIELLE BERMUDEZ PAULE. They call me Jed, Eri, Erich, Wana, Dani, Jeddie and so on and so forth. But the common name they call me is Erica.

I live here in the Philippines where you experience extreme heat and rain every year.

I started blogging this year because I just realized that I have many stories and thoughts that I want to share with you.

I am so frustrated being a writer. I started writing when I was 14. There are many errors when I am writing my own novel and I never finished an ending with three of them that I started. So I gave up.

Reasons why I make this blog:

  1. To share my stories to hundreds and thousands of strangers that I barely talk to or never talked at all.
  2. Since I am a Filipino student, English subject must be learned well. I must improve my writing skills and develop a wide vocabulary.
  3. Make friends around the world.
  4. Be inspired by reading others' stories.
  5. To avoid boredom when you have nothing to do at home.
  6. It gives me happiness releasing my emotions.
  7. To forget how frustrated I am as a young writer.
  8. To be creative and fun
  9. To realize how useful technology is.
  10. Lastly, when there's no one to talk to about my problems, maybe this blog can help.

Sweet 16

Have you ever imagine yourself how tiny you are when you were first born? Isn't it ironic today that you're now 6 feet high while when you were a baby your height was only 2 or less?
Before it's only Ken and Barbie who you make their love story while playing with them and making them move. Now you're starting to have your own love story too.
Have you experienced being shy to enter your first day in school when you were kindergarten? Now that you can brake the rules in school especially when you're a senior.
Have you imagined yourself playing a pedal car before, but now you're actually driving a real car?
Have you ever looked back of these kind of situations as you grow up and become mature? Isn't this amazing?
We have a lot to say and do now when before we only listen to our parents' commands. We can do thing on our own, we can take a bath ourselves, we can cook our own food, do our assignments alone, and decide things on our own.
But wait. Who helped us to be who we are right now and gave us everything us need? Did we thank them for all what they did to us to become successful? You guess.

I'm being emotional today. Of course it's my birthday. I looked back those days when I only know in this world who my parents are. Now I almost new anything and everything that I desire. I guess I already have millions of experiences and events happened for 16 years in my life. I know I've been reckless, dishonest, disobedient and unthoughtful for some times, but my parents never turned me down and my two ever close friends, Lacap and Dela Vega. I thank them for sharing happiness with me and to those who have been part of my life.

Life is great. Life is wonderful. Believe it even you have heard it a million times before.
Here are some photos with my siblings on my birthday =]

Thank to those who greeted me.. I appreciate that a lot. muwah!
