Procrastinating

I still have many things to accomplish this week, and here are the ff:

-finish the audio visual presentation for my high school batch (to be passed on Tuesday)
- review for Psychology 101 midterm exam (this coming Friday)
- make a reflection paper for H-101 (to be passed on Tuesday)
- prepare an informative speech in E-102 (to present on February)

But instead of doing them today, what I did was this...

...smiling in front of the webcam and being vain the whole afternoon.

At least I've finished my laundry this morning. I have uniforms and training attires to wear this coming school days, so as my younger siblings.

Oh well, I guess that's the only good thing I did today, this Sunday. Still, I feel like I've wasted a lot of time.

This is me. I was at our porch doing some stunts. When the time I asked my sister to snap a photo while i'm doing one, it turned out to be a failure. LOL. The picture you see here was when I'm doing a front walk.

I didn't ask to take another picture because I can hardly balance myself anymore. maybe I'll show you a perfect one soon.

A miraculous Tuesday!

I usually set my alarm clock at 4:15 in the morning every Tuesday and Thursday. Since its Tuesday today, I should be awake at that time. I heard my phone alarmed, I already opened my eyes, but I decided to close them for a few minutes because I still feel so sleepy for I just slept at 12 midnight. As I opened my eyes again, I thought 5 or 10 minutes only passed, and then when I checked my phone it was already 5:30 am! I was like, "Oh my, Oh my!!! I'm going to be late. I should be at the terminal this hour!!!"

I hurried myself to take a shower and dressed quickly because I want to travel to school as soon as possible. I know that if I don't leave immediately I might caught by the traffic jams along the way. While traveling, I prayed hard to God to make a miracle today that there is a possibility for me to be there on time.

I arrived in school at 7:47am, and I was already 17mins late. Fortunately, the professor hasn’t checked the attendance yet, so when I was there already I was not marked late.

I felt a relief, and I thank God for this. He is so good!

P.S. This is the also the very first time that I have not eaten my breakfast in my college life. I just sipped an energy drink before I fully left the house.

Untitled Tuesday

Sorry. I can’t think of a good title for this post. My brain is already drained from all the activities in school.

To start my story, we had our PE 101 class this morning. The topic was all about First Aid. The teacher asked us to share some incident of us getting injured. Since I never really had major injuries, I didn’t share anything to the class so I just listened to my fellow classmates who had. As I was paying attention, I couldn’t stand some of their stories because they were so disgusting! I felt like my stomach was twisting while hearing those sickening experiences they had. There was one student who shared to the class that her eyeball was scratched by someone who had a long nail and it was so excruciating! Another one said that she had an open wound and her muscle tissues were exposed! Those are just few from what I heard, and I can’t really stand those kinds of stories because I’m not used to.

I felt comforted when the period was over.

Our next subject was Algebra. It’s my favorite math! Last meeting, the professor gave us an assignment and I abruptly finished it when I arrived home, for I know very well how to solve the problem. But before we enter the class this morning, my friends asked me to help them finish their own assignments for they have no idea how to solve the givens. Instead of revealing my own work to them, I helped them by tutoring my classmates. I made sure that they comprehend what I was teaching splendidly so they won’t ask me again next time. And eventually, they knew how to answer the assignment. I felt so proud because most of them counted on me.

Also today, I have a runny nose. I always bring my own handkerchief with me everyday wherever I go. And I knew I won’t be having trouble searching for tissues to wipe my nose. It just so happen that I lost my handkerchief when I badly needed it and I don’t know what to do. The class is ongoing and I can’t excuse myself that’s why I have no choice but to sneeze it in my hand! Gross! But don’t worry I washed my hands as soon as the class was over. LOL! It was my first time in history that I lost my handkerchief. It was so depressing.

After the last class, I proceeded to where the PEP SQUAD held the meeting. It took an hour before we were dismissed. Then it was time to go home.

While walking with a friend going to the Jeepney terminal it suddenly rained so strong! Alas! Fortunately, I also bring a small umbrella with me everyday wherever I go. So we stopped in a corner to wait for the rain to be gone. While waiting, we saw a street vendor selling fish balls. We decided to buy some. It was a long time ago when I last bought some because I am taught by my parents not to buy that kind of food for health reasons. But it was really yummy to chew and eat it.

When the rain finally stopped, my friend and I proceeded walking. We suddenly felt thirsty along the way so we searched for another vendor who sells gulaman (a unique Filipino beverage).

Unfortunately, we couldn’t see any. Instead, we spotted another vendor who sells palitaw (a small, flat, sweet rice cake eaten in the Philippines. They are made from sticky rice, washed, soaked, and then ground. Scoops of the batter are dropped into boiling water where they float to the surface as flat discs - an indication that they're done. When served, the flat discs are dipped in grated coconut, and presented with a separate dip made of sugar and toasted sesame seeds.)

And finally, before we have our ride going home, we saw a small stall that sells gulaman. At last, we were rejuvenated from our dehydration!

It was 6pm when we reached the jeepney terminal. And because it was a rush hour we couldn’t find a jeepney with a right route going home. And when we found one, many other people needed it too, so we all hurried to step inside the vehicle for us to have a place to seat. And do you know what’s thrilling about that? We always experience stampede at the entrance of the jeepney because we all wanted to go home as soon as possible. My friend and I are always lucky because we are small and it is easy for us to push people and squeeze ourselves inside. And tadah! We have a place to seat!

It was a very fun day. My friend and I really enjoyed the simple lifestyle of a Filipino!

Phew, I still have classes tomorrow at 10:30am so I am greeting you all good night!
Muwah!
I will surely ride a helicopter tomorrow to avoid traffic jams. I am near being late most of the time.

- because I hate running around the corridor and look stupid to other students.
Communication students are the noisiest in the school.

- I totally disagree with my Math professor! :)
That awkward moment when you receive a funny message from a friend and you giggle then suddenly people starting to stare at you.

- It happened earlier inside the jeepney.

I will never forget June 9, 2011

It was supposed to be the 2nd day of classes in college. I don’t have a dorm so I just commute back and forth to school and home. It was even raining that day, but since it was not signal #3, college students still have to attend classes.

I was inside a public vehicle, jeepney to be exact, going to school. I was almost there when my course mate sent me a text message telling me that the classes were suspended. Geez! Few kilometers and I were there! I freaked out! Imagine, you woke up so early to catch the 7:30 am class, you already traveled almost an hour and spent money for transportations then you’ll receive something that would disappoint you. I sighed. I have no choice but to go back home and spend another fee for my transportation.

It was not a good day after all

Officially back!

At last! I finally had the time to open my blog and post something new. It’s been 3 weeks (I guess?) that this was in silent. The last time I blogged here was when I received my certificate from a baking class and reminding you how many more days before my birthday.

4 days before my birthday, people inside the house were so busy preparing everything for the party, from the house, the foods, drinks and etc. It was even raining so hard that time and I was already feeling something not so good about it. We even received frequent brown- out due to the heavy rains pouring. When it was already the day of my birthday, I was expecting many visitors to come because many said they will attend my birthday party. Then, I was disappointed. Few only came because of the stupid weather! I knew this was happening! I was really annoyed because the people who I was expecting the most didn’t come. And honestly, I was so sad and told myself that it was the worst party ever! But good thing I looked at the bright side, Janred came, and he is one of the important people in my life, my girlfriends also remembered me, and so as the guy I’ve been crushing for a long time, eventually, I find calmness in my sorrowing heart.

After the birthday party and everything that happened, I cleaned the whole house again, washed piles of plates and arranged the furniture. Now it was the time to prepare everything for my new school.

Another disappointment came to my life when I wasn’t able to qualify to enroll in my dream school, ADMU, when I received an e-mail from their office. I started holding back tears because my cousin and my mom were around and I don’t want them to see me crying. What happened to my birthday and the news I received made me so down! A failure! I felt like my life was in ruin. I have no other choice but to enter MIRIAM COLLEGE, an exclusive school for girls. I never wanted to enroll there but I have no choice and the deadline of requirements needed was near. If I didn’t abruptly make a move, they might not accept me and not be able to enter any school at all. So, I guess, that is where I really belong. I have no other choice but to accept the outcome of my life.

After I successfully passed all the needed requirements, I was now enrolled in that school. I wasn’t feeling so happy at all. I started attending psychological exam and orientations from those said schedules. And you know what sucks? My dream school is just beside my present school and every time I’ll pass by I can feel that I am so hurt, I even question myself, “Am I really an imbecile?”

I’m trying to move on by searching things what my present school has that my dream school doesn’t have. But whatever I see around the campus, still ADMU is far better.
I guess I just started loving my present school when I listened to the last orientation that they held last June 7. It was convincing, and little, I’m starting to be proud that I am now a MARYKNOLLER. They even prepared different presentations from different clubs and organizations they have and they really amused me.

The following day, June 8, was my first day in school and my first time to be in college. I felt just fine traveling there and meeting my blockmates and making new set of friends. And until present I’m gaining more academically and socially.

Selling Raffle Tickets to the Grade 4 Students

Remember my post last Wednesday?

These are the photos of the grade 4 pupils who loved to be included in the picture taking.

 (Me, at the right side)

 (Poor Janred, he was pushed)

(LOL. The kid covered us at the back)

If everyday was like that, I'm sure all my stress will be gone easily when I arrive home (:

I love those kids!

Morbid Monday!

I felt mortified in front of the whole student body today. Early this morning we had our rehearsal for our field demonstration. There's a dance number that 10 selected students from each year level will be introduced and dance for that number. I wasn't chosen by my adviser because I was absent the day she had listed the students who will participate.

I felt bad because I always wanted to join the final dance of the program and now I wasn't included. This was supposed to be my final year performing in ALLS.

Not until my adviser approached me and said, "Why don't you join the final dance? Go ahead and join." My mood brighten up when she said that. But I still felt the worry that I may not be allowed to dance because the  number of the participants in the senior year will exceed. She asked others to join as well. I was so happy she lets me dance.

Then the practice started. The seniors were introduced through the microphone. The 13 of us were standing on stage. Other students from different levels were watching us as well to see the dance number. Suddenly, our directress counted us. Oh, no! I knew this will going to happen. She said she only needed 10 and the 3 other students have to back out. But i don't want to back out!

No one wants to leave and the directress was madly waiting for us. I swallowed my pride and stepped back and went down the stage.

It was such a shame!

But I have to be fair. It was my fault also because I was absent the other day when they were looking for participants.

So, I let this happened. Geez!

Good thing it was replaced by a very nice compliment from a teacher regarding my performance and my good grades in school. All the bad vibes easily gone away.

I still thank God for this.

Amen.

What's up, Doc?

Last Friday my dentist contacted me and told me to be in her clinic the following day.

I DID.

As I enter her clinic, she was attending a patient who was seated on the dental chair. There was also a patient before me waiting for her turn and her teeth has to be re sealant.

After SEVERAL minutes it was another patient's turn. The one who I am next with.

My dentist was not yet done sealing the patient's teeth. I was totally bored, so I gave up. I waited an hour and a half for nothing!

I have to go back home for I'm already hungry and I want to eat my lunch, and besides I have a rehearsal in school later that time. I still have to prepare the things needed to be brought there. What I did is I approached my dentist and asked if I can just go back tomorrow.

Tomorrow was today, Sunday.

Finally, I was the first patient who came to her clinic. As I was seated on the dental chair, I opened my mouth, she checked for a FEW seconds and said, "Your braces can now be removed. Let's reschedule when you want to take them off."

That's it?! That's the appointment all about?!
Of course I can't ask her to remove it that time because I didn't bring any money for the labor.
For all I know is she will do some adjustments and I don't have to pay any amount.
The only reaction I could give was to smile and said "okay". But that was totally not okay for me!

I waited longer than to be assisted! Shoot! If I only knew this was going to happen I should have asked her to assist me first before the patient before me!

This was not the only time I have encountered an experience like this with her. She's totally ridiculous. Doesn't she know about time management?

Ow, gawd! I was totally pissed off!

Stressed-out

I don't feel good lately. I fell stupid and terrible oftentimes.

Yesterday, I said I must bring my wallet with me before I'll leave the house. I know I placed it inside my closet, so I went there. When I was there, I started wondering why I was there, I paused for a long time trying to recall what I need from my closet. I was about to give up when I finally realized that I need mt wallet. I sighed.

The other day, I told myself I will have an advance reading in my English subject. So I grabbed my bag and got my English book, while flipping the pages I began to ask myself what I will do with the book.

Gezz ... I slapped my forehead! asking why am I like this lately!

Do I lack sleep? Do I think too much? Am I having a brain problem? or the nutrients I in take is not enough? These are the questions I asked myself.

Well, sleeping and eating nutritious foods don't seem to be the problem. I guess I'm starting to have an illness.

What do you think?

The continuation

“In every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”- The Law of Interaction.

I thought being happy from the mass will make you happy throughout the day. I was wrong. That’s the time when I believed the saying above.

This is the continuation from my previous post that is dated also today.

(Sigh)

You see, I don’t want to mention his name anymore since I’ve been mentioning him here in my blog over and over.

The whole family, with him, in a restaurant, was talking about this teenage mom who always awake until the middle of the night to take care of her baby. I pity her most of the time.

Then this guy asked, “How long is she and her fiancĂ© together?” I said that they were a year and so.

“You know what; eventually they will separate after 4 years. Their emotions will change because of … (blah, blah, blah, I don’t want to here another shit) …. You will learn that when you’re in college. I believe that will be tackled in biology class.”

Since before, I never like him talking to me about relationships. He’s been very bitter about that and HE SUCKS so much when he tells me something, anything about that! He scares me, he’s starting to influence me little by little, that there will be nothing sweet and fruitful of having a relationship.

He’s been like that because of his past relationship with other girls. They left him and broke his heart.

Me, I’m only 16, young and very excited to have a boyfriend when the time comes and my parents let me have one ( I obey their rules, I’m such a goodie). Maybe I’m very imaginative about what I like to happen when I have a boyfriend or a husband, or my own family (that’s what usually teenagers are). And I know that life isn’t perfect, but I believe if I wait for the right time, right place, and the right man for me, only death will put us apart, especially when you include that in your prayers before you sleep that there will be a someday when there will be a man that you’ll meet that can love you with all his heart and that will never fade away whatever struggles comes in both of your lives. In the end you both will still be together. It can happen, since there are many couples around the world who have been like that.

I hate what he’s inserting in my memory; He’s making things a nightmare! He said that most of the relationship will last for 4 years. What if I finally have a husband who I love so much, but because of what he said to me, I will always think negative to my husband “he might have an affair with her or “he’s like these and like that”, “Oh no we’re almost 4 years, he’s love for me will soon be expired!”

And because I’m single and he’s starting to make me traumatic, In the future I might not have a husband because starting from this point I’m already afraid of having a boyfriend.

I hope he realize that not because he’s a graduate of psychology and also loved so many times, and many time that they broke his heart, He will start to be a bitter man, a woman hater!

He always bases every thing scientifically! Sometimes I want to answer him back and tell him that sometimes we have to forget about science. That what happened to him from the past is his destiny not to end up with her because there is someone better for him that God prepared. Sometimes it’s not all psychology things to find the reasons why some couples broke up. He lacks faith in God, In God and with God, things happen differently, things might happen in a better way and I wanted him to realize that, but I can’t find the exact words to slap that in his face.

Will you, on your own, let yourself to have a 4 years life span relationship with the person who you are with today? No right, because it is how you treat each other and how you approach each other that makes your relationship longer.

Ohhh,, what do I know?? I’m just kid, I’m just a kid who has no experience about this kind of relationship.

Do you get my point? I know to myself that I didn’t express it well to catch your attention or feel the way I am feeling right now, but as I am typing this post, tears were running down to my cheeks. Tears were running down because I am in love with this bitter man!

My morning was okay, it turned opposite in the evening.

Sunday, November 7, 2010

It's time for a check-up.

"If it isn't broken, don't fix it." It sounds innocent enough, but I've been thinking about this phrase for a few weeks now and how misguiding it can be. Are we really supposed to wait until something in our life is broken before we fix it, before it gets some attention or maintenance?

I don't understand how some people can find this mantra to be valuable. With such a mindset one is expected to believe that the world will take care of itself and there's no need to step in and take action until something is wrong. What does such an attitude say about one's:
friendships
marriage
health
house
vehicle
(insert something really important to you right here)
?

We need to care for and be good stewards of all that we have. This means constantly working and striving to keep it at its best. It's much easier and less costly (financially, spiritually, physically, and mentally) to maintain something over the course of its life than to clean up its broken pieces. Yes, that does mean work, but the downside of letting anything valuable in our lives slip through our fingers is that it is not guaranteed that it will be able to be fixed or replaced should something damaging happen to it.

Just saying.

WHY? CAN THAT RECHARGE THE BATTERIES (again)??
IT'S SO HARD WHEN OTHER PEOPLE CAN'T UNDERSTAND YOUR HUMOR.
